Weimar, the city of Goethe and Schiller, of Bauhaus, of the Classical Foundation of Weimar undertook two major steps when European Capital of Culture: to bring back that cultural flavour to the city by massive renovation and by linking classical culture to the paradox and horrific fact that outside of Weimar there came into existence despite this cultural past the concentration camp of Buchenwald.
SALVE was the key term linked to Goethe.
