There took place a one day congress ‘The Decade After’,  ten years after the European Cultural Capital Year 2002, on the 22nd of May 2012.

On the occasion of this tenth anniversary the city of Bruges some reflections were made on the long term legacy of European Capitals of Culture (ECoC).

A broad range of stakeholders from some twenty five former and future European Capitals of Culture as well as  relevant representatives of cities, cultural organizations and educational institutions participated.
