What shall take shape on this square during 2016, that is still a small secret! So let us wait till the designation has been given to Wroclaw to be European Capital of Culture in 2016 before revealing what it is.

Public spaces

They can be used for multiple purposes, their design and lay out a matter of not only public taste but also a question of use in materials conducive for a clear expression. Right now the city of Wroclaw is preparing itself for hosting a part of the football games in 2012. This is when football crowds come often dangerously close to hooliganism and just drunken behavior. As a reminder when Brussels was European Capital of Culture in 2000 its program was cut in half due to the world cup being hosted then as well in Belgium. It came to fights between various football supporters. The end result was police on horses riding through cafes to head off the swelling crowd of boisterous fans wishing to throw beer bottles in the direction of the police.
