Press for Umea 2014
Programme for 2014 - press conferences for media
Umeå: The unveiling will start early in the morning on January 31, 2013 in Umeå with a press conference in Glashuset (The Glass House) on the town hall square. Marie-Louise Rönnmark, chairwoman of the capital of culture committee and municipal commissioner in Umeå, and Umeå2014´s artistic director Fredrik Lindegren will present the brand-new programme book containing a selection of what will be going on in the eventful capital of culture year. Immediately after the presentation, the two will set off for Stockholm for another press conference at Kulturhuset.
Stockholm: At Kulturhuset in Stockholm, Lena Adelsohn Liljeroth, minister for culture, will introduce the presentation and then Marie-Louise Rönnmark and Fredrik Lindegren will talk about the programme year. Representatives of Umeå´s cultural sphere will also be on site in Stockholm. The general presentation will be followed by a meet-and-greet between the creators of culture, the media and invited representatives from the national institutions and authorities that have been assigned to work with Umeå2014.
Later in the afternoon, the Umeå residents will return back home to participate in the evening´s events in Scharinska Villan, where there will be more mingling and music performances.
