Donation from Constantakopoulos the amount of 76,000 euros for the Cultural Capital

APPLICATION
The TEMES, which is the developer of the «Costa Navarino», the Constantakopoulos Achilles took sponsor Municipality of Kalamata in the preparation of the application file for claiming the European Capital of Culture 2021.
According to the program contract having been concluded between the Municipality of Kalamata, the Faris and the legal entity of the Cultural Center, the total budget for the preparation of the dossier will reach 250,000 euros. The file must be submitted to the Ministry of Culture by October 23.
According to a letter by Achilles Constantakopoulos to the mayor of Kalamata, Panagiotis Nikas, the Temes, "having long recognized the unique values and the potential of the region of Messinia and the city of Kalamata, we have steadily and intently support series of actions and initiatives. The TEMES SA cannot be missing in the city trying to win such an important title which will highlight the specifics of the region and its European identity. In response to your request we are pleased to announce that we will strengthen the effort of Kalamata to the amount of 50,000 euro cash, as well as consultancy services, worth 26,000 euros. The consultants will be remunerated directly by us in consultation with the Candidacy Office on the subject of their choice. Please accept our above offer to strengthen our common vision. "
The question that arises is whether the specific sponsorship TEMES means to undertake the role in the selection of consultants who will staff the Candidacy Office?

ΦΑΚΕΛΟΣ ΥΠΟΨΗΦΙΟΤΗΤΑΣ
Η ΤΕΜΕΣ, που είναι ο φορέας ανάπτυξης της «Costa Navarino», του Αχιλλέα Κωνσταντακόπουλου, ανέλαβε χορηγός του Δήμου Καλαμάτας για την ετοιμασία του φακέλου υποψηφιότητας για τη διεκδίκηση της Πολιτιστικής Πρωτεύουσας της Ευρώπης το 2021…
Σύμφωνα με την προγραμματική σύμβαση που έχουν συνάψει ο Δήμος Καλαμάτας, η Φάρις και το νομικό πρόσωπο του Πνευματικού Κέντρου, ο συνολικός προϋπολογισμός για την ετοιμασία του φακέλου θα ανέλθει στα 250.000 ευρώ. Ο φάκελος πρέπει να έχει υποβληθεί στο υπουργείο Πολιτισμού μέχρι τις 23 Οκτωβρίου.
Σύμφωνα με επιστολή του Αχιλλέα Κωνσταντακόπουλου προς το δήμαρχο Καλαμάτας, Παναγιώτη Νίκα, η ΤΕΜΕΣ, «έχοντας αναγνωρίσει εδώ και καιρό τις μοναδικές αξίες αλλά και τις δυνατότητες της περιοχής της Μεσσηνίας αλλά και της πόλης της Καλαμάτας, έχουμε σταθερά και με προσήλωση στηρίξει σειρά από δράσεις και πρωτοβουλίες. Η ΤΕΜΕΣ ΑΕ, δεν θα μπορούσε να λείπει από την προσπάθεια της πόλης για την κατάκτηση ενός τόσο σημαντικού τίτλου ο οποίος θα αναδείξει πανευρωπαϊκά τόσο τις ιδιαιτερότητες της περιοχής όσο και την ευρωπαϊκή της ταυτότητα. Ανταποκρινόμενοι στο αίτημά σας έχουμε τη χαρά να σας ανακοινώσουμε ότι θα ενισχύσουμε την προσπάθεια της Καλαμάτας με το ποσό των 50.000 ευρώ μετρητά, καθώς και με υπηρεσίες συμβούλων, αξίας 26.000 ευρώ. Οι σύμβουλοι θα αμειφθούν απευθείας από εμάς κατόπιν συνεννόησης με το Γραφείο Υποψηφιότητας ως προς το θέμα της επιλογής τους. Παρακαλούμε όπως αποδεχθείτε την παραπάνω προσφορά μας για την ενίσχυση του κοινού μας οράματος».
Το ερώτημα που γεννάται είναι εάν με τη συγκεκριμένη χορηγία αναλαμβάνει και η ΤΕΜΕΣ ρόλο ως προς την επιλογή των συμβούλων που θα στελεχώσουν το Γραφείο Υποψηφιότητας.
